Chris Hott - EMC/SS

 

I was born in Florida and grew up in Spring Hill. I met my wife at Hernando Christian Academy in Brooksville. I joined the Navy in January 1995 and completed boot camp in Great Lakes, IL followed by Electrician's Mate A-school and Nuclear Power School in Orlando, FL. I served on the USS Nevada SSBN-733 in Bangor, WA from October 1996 to March 2000 and completed 5 strategic deterrent patrols, was a submarine fire-fighter, and a qualified member of the boat's tactical response force. I transferred to NPTU Ballston Spa, NY in April 2000 where I served as EOOW/ETA/EDO/NTA. I got my Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics degree in 2001 from RPI in Troy, NY. I exited active-duty service in November 2003.  I worked for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission from 2003 until 2011. I worked at the Idaho National Laboratory from 2011 to 2017. My wife and I moved back to Florida in 2021 and we love living here...minus the occasional hurricane.
