Sr. Vice - Navy
Born in Norwood Massachusetts March 6th 1962. Moved to Meredith, New Hampshire in 1977 and enlisted in the USN November 1979. Attended recruit training at Great Lakes Illinois followed by SSC San Diego, CA. Transferred to USS Saratoga CV60, deployed to Mediterranean 1980. Transferred to USS Miller FF1091 and deployed to the Mediterranean in1981. Transferred to USS Edson DD946, completing a Great Lakes cruise in 1983. Transferred to NCU Cutler Maine in 1984, terminated shore duty to return to sea duty. Assigned to USS Samuel B. Roberts FFG58 as a plank owner in 1985. Upon commissioning the Roberts was assigned to US Navy 2nd Fleet, Surface Group 4, Newport RI. Deployed to MEF Persian Gulf 1988, assigned to Operation Earnest Will escorting reflagged Kuwait Oil Tankers, providing safe passage and protection from hostile Iranian forces. USS Samuel Roberts struck an Iranian laid mine, nearly sinking. Transferred to NTC Orlando, FL in 1990, assigned to the admirals staff supply department. Transferred to USS Vandegrift FFG48 in 1993, I then retired in 1996.
I returned to Meredith, New Hampshire upon retirement where I served as Senior Vice for American legion post 33, before relocating to Spring Hill Florida. I transferred my life membership to Hernando Beach upon becoming a resident.
